Largest Port in Oman Makes Efforts to Expand
Expansion Investments Made by Port of Salalah in Oman
Oman’s largest multi-service port, Port of Salalah has begun to receive equipment from a contract agreement made with ZPMC and Liebherr in efforts to continue expansion of the port to keep current with technologies and equipments to better serve its customers while reducing their carbon emission footprint.
The port has already received 12 of the 16 rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes that were ordered.
Mark Hardiman, CEO, Port of Salalah said, “Our investment in the latest RTG and mobile harbor cranes demonstrates our long-term commitment to optimize operational efficiencies and cargo handling services while accommodating existing and new trade.”
